Factory-cat Mya: an update from her new home

Do you remember the story of factory- cat Mya that we told you about earlier this year? Well, we have an update from her new home. As you probably recall, Mya turned up as a stray at Howden Compressors in Glasgow, who reported her to us. She was microchipped but it was found that her owners had moved away, so a Howden worker, Jim Baillie, adopted her. There was already a cat called Mya in the Paisley suburb where Jim and his family live, so her name was changed to Katya.

According to Jim: ‘ Katya appears to have settled and is happy to go out to explore the garden and the golf course. Her favourite place to sleep is on my son’s computer chair. She jumps up as soon as my son gets off the chair and glares at him if he wants back on!’. He continues: ‘ Katya appears to be happy staying with us and we are happy to have her.’ We’re so glad to hear that Katya. What a lovely happy ending! For the full article click here
